That helped! LOL. You're probably too young to realize. Good response -- thx.

Anonymous -- my position is that ultimately for cancer prevention perhaps all the good and bad should be 'weighed'. After surgery, I would presume she has implants (and didn't she earlier?). Are these with cancer-free risks? I doubt it. In her profession (actress/model), Jolie has to wear make up. All the chemicals, parabens, heavy metals, etc are all know to be carcinogenic. Regarding cosmetic surgeries, for her profession these are probably considered almost mandatory. Surgery does affect immunity and cortisol. Read the link below for details. Surgery stress suppresses cellular immunity. Cortisol surges lead to high blood sugars. Cancer cells thrive on sugar. With the high cortisol surges during and after surgery, elevated blood sugars inevitably occur. Does this feed pre-malignant and cancer cells? Probably. Can someone recover? Probably depends on several factors -- antioxidant reserves, immune function, insulin sensitivity, etc. Surgery is not without inherent risks, just like anything. The anesthesia has to be cleared and eliminated. The liver and innate detox pathways have to deal with a lot including post-op pain narcotics as well. People with BRCA1/2 have lower antioxidant defenses. Google 'epigenetic BRCA' -- however there are many ways to overcome or at least to improve antioxidant reserves in BRCA.
http://bja.oxfordjournals.org/content/85/1/109.fullDr. B Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15451872961651116061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6780103924890350442.post-25123237279716830772013-06-08T14:16:33.585-07:002013-06-08T14:16:33.585-07:00Just a quick comment - most breastfeeding advocate...Just a quick comment - most breastfeeding advocates tend to use language that normalizes breastfeeding as opposed to formula... since it's the biological norm, saying breastfeeding "raises IQ" is less accurate than saying that not breastfeeding lowers it. There are no benefits to breastfeeding, there are risks to formula-feeding. To say that there are benefits to breastfeeding assumes that formula is the standard and the norm, which should not be the case - at least from a scientific perspective.spughyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11794046397196437508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6780103924890350442.post-32572094207554149122013-06-08T00:30:16.179-07:002013-06-08T00:30:16.179-07:00Anon,

BRCA 1/2 involves any epithelial cells with high and fast turnover -- stomach colon prostate boobies ovarian et cetera. The stats do not support your observation 'all-but-inevitable' hysteria. We have many tools and ways to combat environmental illnesses (that is what cancer and BRCA is).

GDr. B Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15451872961651116061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6780103924890350442.post-12787041155687502142013-06-07T23:50:22.422-07:002013-06-07T23:50:22.422-07:00sorry, but your piece does nothing to explain why ...sorry, but your piece does nothing to explain why you find it "disheartening when I hear of individuals choosing to go through the agony of cortisol-spiking surgeries to remove their respective rack and b**bies."

did angelina make the "wrong" choice for her health and her probability of surviving a cancer she would all-but-inevitably acquire, because she didn't anticipate the elevated cortisol from the surgery? is that your position?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
